StrongArm's Favorite Tracks of 2011 #90- 81

#90 Danny Brown & Black Milk "Loosie"

This is a dope ass cut off the "Black & Brown" EP from Detroit's Danny Brown whom has made some serious noise in 2011, teaming up with prolific producer Black Milk. This track showcases Danny Brown's rambunctuous style.  Track above. Buy the album here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/black-and-brown/id473823389

#89 Common "Sweet" prod. No I.D.

One of my favorite tracks off  Common's "The Dreamer, THe Believer" LP. Common clowns
on well, yeah you know the deal. Ill track regardless. Peep the video above. THe album here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/the-dreamer-the-believer/id480264717

#88 9th Wonder- Hearing the Melody Feat. Skyzoo, Fashawn & King Mez

A dope cut featuring a crazy collabo, i didn't know much about Mez but he did his thang, but ive been a huge Skyzoo and Fashawn fan for a minute, cool to see them linking up on this track, Skyzoo's hook is dope too. Fashawn spits "Don't even call me an emcee, im an ogre, im a meteorite, these niggaz mediocre, i rather be considering an OG when its over, in a tinted limousine, blowin weed at my chaffeurs, Don Santiago on behalf of my rallo's, been married to the mob, Jazmine Solano!"... Listen to the track above, and cop 9th Wonder's album here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/the-wonder-years/id464998901

#87 Locksmith- "Devil's Lasso" prod. Ski Beatz

This is one of the dopest cuts off Locksmith's studio album "Embedded" produced entirely by Ski Beatz. THe music video above is dope, and fits the track, Lock spits "OKay so prolific, flow is cryptic, flow afflicted, so much wicked, over sick shit, to these niggaz head, think this shit is co-conflicted, my soul's conflicted, im so restricted, im no statistic, im so sadistic, that most the critics just over glimpse it, im over drenched, in this odor stench from this older pimp shit, im so intense, that my older bitch said im so relentless, i poke my stick in that open trench, that you call a clitoris, to overcompensate, your no committment,... bitch..." and proceeds to double time after that. His cadence in this song shows that Lock can go toe-to-toe with any emcee on the planet, and with Ski beatz's current productivity, if the two continue working together, sky is the limit. Peep the video above, and the album is available here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/embedded/id475010252

#86 Stalley "Chimes of Freedumb" prod. Rashad

This is a dope track with a great hook from Rashad, and Stalley spittin his unique signature style. This track is inspiring, and one of Stalley's best to date. Stalley spits "Arm raised, fist tight nigga, militant man, say goodbye to the polite nigga, go ahead hate on me, make my plight bigger, or you can roll with me and make this fight bigger, we mashin on, hold on to your boots...." Listen to it above, and check out Lincoln Way Nights here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/lincoln-way-nights-deluxe/id475812035

#85 Rapsody - "Rock the bells" feat. Kendrick Lamar (prod. Khrysis)

This is a dope track off Rapsody's free project For Everything. Rapsody spits some of her best bars, while Kendrick Lamar absolutely murders this dope Khrysis beat. Kendrick spits "Look into the new vision in mind, the kendrick divine, intervention, i drop a jewel, and the diamonds glisten, dont chime in my business, you'll run into atomic collision, you knew my kalanic was different, im shittin on shit, that shiftin your image, i rhyme like a chemist.... " and proceeds to murder it dropping rhymes incorporating gorgeous girls and george foreman's grill before finally ending his crazy verse with a "sheesh"... This track is raw. #84 Currensy & THe alchemist "Double 07"

THis is one of my favorite Curren$y tracks of all time. Off the Cover Coup Ep which has been regarded by many people as the best free album of 2011. I can see why, Currensy's production on this, just like he received from Ski Beatz on Pilot Talk 1 and 2, is top notch. Which is why those 2 projects and this one seem to be the most polished ones he has put it out, although he was a busy guy in 2011 and dropped well received "Weekend at bernie's" and "Verde terrace" projects as well. But this is my favorite of the 3 2011 Currensy projects, and this track is ill. Download the project here for free: http://www.datpiff.com/Curreny-Covert-Coup-mixtape.221604.html

#83 Fashawn - Generation F (prod. ATG)

An Ill cut from Fashawn off the upcoming Champagne & Styrofoam Cups project. As opposed to "Skating down the block" and "Gettin it" which had more upbeat and street vibe, this track has a more laid back and melodic feel and is my favorite of the three tracks which have all surface during December in prepation for the release of Fashawn's next project. Fashawn spits: "My mission, take over the world, and give it a makeover, penetrate pop culture, soon as i got older, enough to do it, luckily stayed with the music, stacey dash, young and clueless, running rampant through the ghetto, shoulda got a gold medal, how we used to hop fences, you'd swear it was the olympics, everyday in the mothafuckin trenches, we made that weight dissapear like sense up, some dimes and nicks....". THis is a dope track, peep the video above, and download the track at : http://hulkshare.com/l0vk6otldakt

#82 Blue Scholars "Tommy Chong" feat. Macklemore

One of my favorite cuts off Blue Scholars' Cinemetropolis album. I was lucky enough to catch them on the Cinemetropolis tour at Slim's in San Francisco, and it was a packed show. This track is ill, as Geo and Macklemore spit weed raps. Buy Cinemetropolis here: http://bluescholars.bandcamp.com/album/cinemetropolis

#81 ADd+ "Insomniac Dreaming" prod. Black Milk

This is a dope cut from ADd+', duo from Dallas, Texas. They spit "I don't wanna be a famous, i just wanna be well off, keep my bank account bangin, take care of those i care about, fuck mayback, i just keep swangin my lac riiiiite, these the thoughts of a black insomniac...." Listen to it above, and download it for free here: http://addplus.bandcamp.com/track/insomniac-dreaming-prod-by-black-milk

Peep the ep here: http://www.stonesthrow.com/news/2011/11/freddie-gibbs-madlib

#93 Kendrick Lamar "Hol Up" prod. Sounwave

Sounwave is behind alot of the dope instrumentals on Section 80, in addition to a bunch of other talented producers, this one is perhaps one of the illest beats he crafted. The 2nd track on the album, "Hol Up" captures Kendrick being Kendrick. Its a perfect track, cant really get enough of it. http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/section.80/id447516359

#109 Stalley "Harsh Ave" prod. Ski Beatz

This is a dope cut, one of my favorite Stalley tracks. Makes me wonder what a Ski beatz & Stalley project, (whcih is rumored to be in the works), would sound. Stalley spits: "Different types of fiends out here, they all need a fix, the uppers and the downers, the hate is all around us, i feel em when they come to me to drown out, attention from these cowards, between dirt roads and flowers, i sit n dream for hours, same mindset as desmond tutu, got a couple screws loose..." Stalley has dropped some real dope tracks and signed to Maybach Music Group in 2011, it will be interesting to see what he does in 2012. Get Lincoln Way Nights here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/lincoln-way-nights-deluxe/id475812035

#108 Childish Gambino "Bonfire"

This is a real catchy song. Easily the best track on his album... #106 Reks "Mr. Nobody" prod. Statik Selektah

Another dope track off Reks' R.E.K.S. album. This one produced by Statik Selektah, has a nice hook, and allows Reks to show us his story telling side over a smooth Statik beat. Reks spits: "...Used to watch nicky on the scooter, a daughter with no father, may never realize,  a mans touch, a mans trust, scrutinize, you either treat her like your queen or your bitch right?..." #105 Big Sean "100 Keys" feat. Pusha T & Rick Ross

This is a dope track, sure they are bragging about how cats move coke in their neighborhoods, but hey, thats how it is. Sometimes you gotta speak on these realities. My favorite verse on this track is from Pusha T. Pusha spits: "100 keys, 100 please, my gazuntite  will make a whole city sneeze, walk the mud jungle where they grind it out for the leaves, so they swarm to my honeycomb, hideout for the bees..." but Big Sean also drops some hot bars, while Rick Ross is at least kinda tolerable. Big Sean's album is available here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/finally-famous/id474598988

#104 Big K.R.I.T "American Rapstar"

Another dope story telling track from K.R.I.T. over a bangin instrumental. "They say that money make the world go round, you never lost till you lose your crown, and they dont love you till your under ground, or when you maxin out your bank account, you do it all just to live your life, even if it means you dont live it right, even if it means you dont survive tonight, and if you do wont you wont survive the hype, of American RapStar". One of the most memorable tracks of 2011 for sure. www.bigkrit.com

#103 Kendrick Lamar "Keisha's Song" prod. Tae Beast

This is an ill song, Kendrick gets on his Brenda's Gotta Baby/Black Girl Lost steez. A great track where he explores his socio/storytelling side, and raps about the "Keisha's" of the world. "She plays Mr. Shakur, thats her favorite rapper, bumpin Brenda's Gotta Baby as a pervert yelling at her, and she catchin features of a woman, but only 17, that 7 card hung in, the start runnin like flow joe, dont care if they Joe BLow, long as they got money to blow, a blow job is a sure go, She give it all to her daddy, but she don't know her father" This song is a good indication that Kendrick Lamar is going to continue to grow as an artist and can make music of all different styles. Section 80: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/section.80/id447516359

#102 Raekwon "The Scroll" prod. Evidence

This is a dope track, beat laced by none other than Evidence (Dilated Peoples). Raekwon spits on this dope instrumental that seemed to fit his style perfect. The beat reminds me of a combination of west coast hip-hop and western movies haha. Raekwon spits with a smooth flow "... He walked in the room, scar-rap, pair of timberlands b, this the potion, pulled the scroll out, ..."A dope story telling track from Rae off the dope "Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang" project. http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/shaolin-vs.-wu-tang/id418563751

A dope cut off their EP which dropped shortly after they were signed to Shady/Aftermath. This track features all 4 emcees going in on a dope Mr. Porter instrumental. #141 Drake - She Will feat. Lil Wayne

As mainstream and played out as this song may be. I thought it was a dope song, and deserved to make the list. Shit is catchy as hell...
